Guys,
who say this is a wedge, they won.
i tried to hone it as a microtome, nothing but a big bevel. after recleaned it, tried as a wedge. it's coming to be ready to cut my arm hairs.
pictures will come when i finished.

I know I am a little late, but it is a wedge, the symmetry is off on all of those old hand ground blades. Nothing unusual.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Looks like those scales could use a little tweaking. Are they Bakelite type material?

I was wondering if any if you guys found any other razors like this one (not microtome but wedge with asymmetry of each side).
I was talking with friend today and he showed me a new razor he found, a old one I think 19th century I don't remember the brand but it's made in UK or US (sorry didn't think to take pictures) the blade was looking full wedge but when I looked from the point there was an asymmetry like this razor I posted on top of the thread.
I don't know if it's kind of a mistake of the person who tried to restore it or it was like it is when it's made but to see an other razor like it makes me to think if there is some kind of blades not known.

If one side is hollow ground and the other is flat, I would assume that your friend has a microtome.
