Went for 3. Didn't want to overdo. Will be more than I've ever had before anyway. Am sure I'll want another from Ulrik anyway at some point. First is plainer, next will be more decorated, bit more flash. And more smile if I feel I want it.

Think the Koraat comes pretty close in looks to the classics. My old John Elliot's has a pretty similar grind, smile not so front heavy as some. Looking forward to getting it in my hands and on my face.

Near wedge. That's his trademark. There are many 1/4 and 1/2 grinds on the market by a variety of makers. His Wedge grind is stunning and is as close to the old Sheffields as you will get for a reasonable price

That's what I thought too cork. Also while a few custom makers do do smiles and wedges I much prefer Ulrik's classic, simple lines and non fancy tangs.

Finally got this scaled properly and with a nice shaving edge. Used stabilized Buckeye burl that I lined with black walnut, and used the BB for the wege as well . Now probably the best shaver I own. Really has a nice feel. My next one will be something similar, maybe a 7/8 with a barbers knotch. Just can't have one!
