    Based on the island being tropical.

    You could use a tidal pool of water for your mirror. Although shaving in a horizontal position may be a trick

    I read shark skin makes a good strop and for paste you could mix up some ground coral and coconut milk.

    For a razor I would at a minimum want a shiny 8/8 so it could double as a signal mirror.

    Do you think that a barbers notch would be useful in trimming out the hole on a coconut???

    I would bring the razor on the right in this picture, a Greaves near wedge. Great shaver but in homemade scales that are not my best effort and overall just an ordinary razor.
