    Default My New Maestro Livi

Recently received a new Maestro Livi (thanks Lynn) that I spec'd out: 7/8 Oblique Point, BlueT. Damascus, Ram's Horn scales, upper & lower jimping, my initials on the back tang, and then he let loose on some wild spinework. Got it a few weeks back and have been using it everyday. It's a real pretty piece of work and has for the time being put my others out of rotation (I'm up to like 20 or so shave-readies). This razor was my "baby jewelry" that I negotiated with my wife who got a lil' something from Tiffany for our new baby girl (6 wks old now). I'm a very happy man all around these days (even barring sleep).

A lovely razor you have! The spine file work is interesting -- in a good way.

    Baby Jewelry -- Ha Ha!

    Nice razor for sure

Interesting - I had not noticed before but it seems that the Mastro razors have a shorter blade (shorter than 3") - is this so?

I myself like shorter blades very much - my face is better served by them. Otherwise, for someone with less irregular facial topo a 3" may be much better, of course.

Thanks, I'm very happy with this razor - which I think is just under 3", but I need to check on that.

No chip - it's bad lighting. I might be too ashamed to share such a thing even though accidents do happen.

Wow, if this cutting edge is just under 3" then the whole razor is huge!
