Thanked: 1081Very nice Phrank, those kamis in scales were made by Kosuke Iwasaki, Shigeyoshis father.

Just spending the afternoon with Glen(gssixgun) honing this Kami up right now....7 laps on one side, one stroke on the other side.
Glen is very patient, taking me through all the steps, he's right, they get sharp very quickly (using a Naniwa 8k), he's finishing on some J-Nat, I'm going to finish on the Nani 12k...although, our afternoon seems kind of one-sided and all, being that it turns out, Glen video's aren't interactive.....sigh.
What a resource though....either way, great afternoon learning Kamisori honing with Glen....and these Iwasaki's once again, seems they just want to hone themselves....

Need your knowledge ...
Do you have information about this blade:
Normally the term 'Trade㊂Mark' and 'Iwasaki' often goes with a number before and sometimes master 'Kamijo' on the tang in carbon steel. Nothing on the other side. What are the differences with the '3M' and Tokiwa blade?

I believe the M relates to medium hardness.
