    Default Bayley & Blew with unusual coffin

    Got another antique one i have no clue about.
    Only words on it on tang looks like,"Bayley & Blew"?
    Came with unusual coffin

    Bayley & Blew is listed in many directories as a Perfumer and dressing case maker. 1739-1910. So Bayley is not the maker but someone made the razors for them.

    Since the firm is listed as a dressing case maker, seems possible that the fine wooden razor box would be original to the razor or made by Bayley and Blew, and another early 1800's razor to boot!

    Beautiful streaked horn scales. Those are difficult to find, and some of my favorites.

    Thanks dude, someone did suggest they were tortoise shell scales but good to know. They are also soaking in Neatsfoot and what a difference already.
