Thanked: 0Well, I went and got myself one of the tang-covered razors from TI. It sure is a beaute. The one I got has very blond scales and very dark horn coverings on the tang, which is a very nice contrast. I have no idea if the razor was really forged, or made, or ever touched at all by The Man himself, but hey I'm still expecting it to be a fantastic shave anhow. (But looking at it, the blade spine is not as symetrical as one would expect from a not-hand-made verson, so ... ??)
Tomorrow's shave is set now ...

Thanked: 9Ah, the assymetry of it all... it just bugs me to see things like this.
But let's hope the shave is great! Keep us posted
Cheers

I think the covered tang models are from the early 20th century and are not hand forged. Only the historical model is hand forged. Either way they are both fantastic shavers. I don't think the hand forging makes any difference. If your into history and collecting then it would be more important.

Thanked: 55Well fellas, I've decided to sell my TI Historic. It's not seeing any action here in my hands and I think someone else would probably enjoy it. I'll post the ebay number here and at the yahoo site tomorrow night.

EL

Thanked: 55JMS, once upon a time I did offer to the forums first and it can cause complications. Ever since I have felt that this is the best way to handle things as it gives everyone a fair shot.
