Have you shaved with anything else yet? Whenever a beginner assesses a straight razor, you never know if the razor or the shaver is the problem.

My razor was from WD. Shaves and all. Has pitting not too pretty but goes along. I'm gonna send it out to get honed and am thinking of ordering a second one before that. There is also a guy who does sight unseen on etsy. Seems to have good reviews there. That's where i think I will try next.

He sends the razors out for honing as I did like 3-5 or something for him when offering a service. Those blades I honed for SURE were shaving sweetly.
Every other razor he has sold, I have no opinion on. The fact he doesn't use the same person for honing could be why some people get a bad edge.
