Thanked: 05/8 or 6/8 Modern Quarter Hollow
Any of the modern day razor manufacturers or craftsmen make a 5/8 or 6/8 quarter hollow ground razor? I know Wacker does but, there seems to be some QC issues I've been reading about.

Thanked: 346Robert Williams does, and I believe that Joe Chandler and Maestro Livi do as well.

I have a 6/8 quarter hollow ground Wacker razor, and love it!
No QC issues with mine. If you have a concern with the Wacker razor, you can always email John Crowley and have a talk with him (he's the guy selling them). I'm sure he'd help!

Thanked: 4942Actually, I am making them as well, but really did not anticipate selling any. Been experimenting for myself. I like the quarter hollow as the full hollow in what I have been playing with is way too light for me and I have foiled out a few as well....hahahahahaha. I have honed a few Wackers for folks and don't really know of any problems. They have been OK razors.
Have fun.

I got mine gently used from Iwan, a Wacker 6/8 1/4 hollow spike point. It has been a great shaver and I see no problems evident at all.

Thanked: 5i think it's joel from B&B who had some serious issues with a Wacker, though it seems to be a one time thing

I don't know about that man. It seems if you look at his reviews lately he has issues with just about every razor he reviews.

Thanked: 0Aha, just as I suspected. The makers are holding out the good ones for themselves. I heard from another "maker" they like to make 1/4 hollows. I wish we could see some of them.
