Thread: Removing these marks from Boker razor !!

What is the safest and best way to remove these horrible marks (looks like early rust) from this almost new Boker razor??

High quality metal polish (Blue Magic etc) should take that off. The real question is, why is it doing that in the first place?

I got it cheap of eBay..... looks like some ones finger prints, I'm thinking oil from fingers and not cleaned and stored properly.

Its almost brand new condition, just them marks spoil it.

Be careful around the etching on the blade so the polish does not remove it.

I really hate to say this but if you remove all the rust the etching is toast. The razor looks great other than that. Should be a nice shaver. Good luck.

If you try a more 'gentle' metal polish, such as Flitz, Semichrome, or Wenol, it might not hurt the etching too badly, if at all. I've had good luck with them that way, but they won't just wipe the rust off easily. Lots of elbow grease and paper towels.
