Look at the specs from the Damasteel site and you will see that the PMC-27 steel is below what I would like in in hardness for a razor steel. It sounds like an exceptional knife steel, but I want performance in my high end razor, not just "pretty" Even their own site does not list a hardness for the Damascus and I could find no heat treated chart for it. Of course THIS conversation is one for The Forge! Either way, I wish you great success on this bold endeavor. As an average Joe who opened a winery on his own, I truly understand the difficulty such an undertaking involves.

They will hopefully fare better than the "new" Pumas...
Still can't believe they released those abominations.

They are as bland of a design as you could fear. From aesthetics to forgings to grinds, mediocrity is the word.

There's a new teaser photo on the Facebook page for the Irontusk's point: the Bezier Notch. If you're in the "wish the project well" camp and excited by the possibilities, then its worth a look, or in my case several! It might not be everybody's style, but I for one am digging it.
