I don't have the funds for Pumas, Aust's etc. As to the extra hollows back in the day maybe that's we see such "horror shows" on E-Bay?
I have several top of the line Thiers-Issard C135 steel razors, and several other high end production razors, Revisor, Dovo, and personally, none of them compare to the quality and comfort of a shave with a vintage blade - YMMV...

I'm on the side of vintage especially Japanese razors I've owned many vintage blades both German and Sheffield and I wouldn't look any further than a vintage Japanese razor they are by far my favourite razors, the grinding scales fit and finish on these razors are superb.

So when I'm ready to lose the Iwasaki Tokiwa razor, I'll be asking to see some of your beauty Sheffields then.....

Andrew If you have minty Japanese that you want to dangle in front of my nose for a trade then I have a beautiful 6/8 full hollow William Greaves pre 1890s ready to trade.
