Was thinking that too Tom, it looks a might small for an 8/8. Tc

Thanked: 77It is a frame back. A very large frame back.
That's what I thought at first. Then I opened it. I never actually measured it but is plenty bigger than my wade and butcher 7/8. The frame back is about the same size.

Purchase the frameback as long as it looks usable!

Control panel is an odd choice for a background, but looks like that'll be a nice shaver!

Thanked: 77It was taken in the store. I figured sense it was only 35 I would put up with the bad stamp on the blade

What's wrong with the stamp, it says Merican Barber. I would have been more concerned about what looks like a crack at the pivot.
Nice razor! I really like French framebacks. They shave like a wedge with the honing convenience of a full hollow.

Thanked: 77The stamp is just worn down it did say American barber but it's obvious that someone has done work to this blade already. As for the crack that's not the only thing that's wrong with these handles. The pivot holes are really big and you can tell that it's been re- pinned. I'm probably just going to make new scales and mirror polish the blade and possibly remove the entire American Barber. We'll see... I might even just sell it.
