Default A woman's point of view

I have now collected Dovo's, Genco's, Filly's, W & B, Puma, Revisor, Austs, Livi's and Dubl Ducks. My wife was looking at all the razors and she asked "Why do you have all those razors when you shave with 7 razors each week. I said it is like collecting cars, once in the while you just want to try something different. She looked at them and said why do you have old ones in the box and new ones in the weekly rotation holder. I pointed out I use a vintage Puma and Revisor in the rotation. I tried to explain that the vintage razors offer a different shave and feel. She then pointed to my Mongoose, OneBlade and Futur and said they seem to be easier to use. Again I tried to explain its the art of shaving the old way with a straight. She just shook her head and said what a waste of money and time. I answered I have some good years left that I can enjoy straight razor shaving and am at the stage of my life when I can afford it. I said I plan on leaving the razors to my son-in-law and my grandsons. Again shook her head and walked away. I yelled to her John Wayne and Clint Eastwood shave with straight razors. All I got back was a HA! Go figure woman.

Most women are in no position to complain about razors. Most have multiple items be it shoes or earrings or other items of apparel or jewelry type things far in excess of what they need.

The problem is most women feel their opinion is superior to any man's.

I pretend not to notice the new shoes/purses and she pretends not to notice my razors.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Sadly enough my wife is a serious minimalist. I have no but you do... to hold up. She does not even understand keeping things because you will need them again, maybe not right away, but at some point the interior of the house will need to be repainted and the brushes and roller trays won't go bad. Garbage as far as she is concerned.

RezDog, my ex is also a minimalist. That's why she's my ex.

I can't remember where I read it - it was someone's quote on this site I think. I saw it a while ago and it stuck with me... "My greatest fear is that I will die and my wife will sell my razor stuff for what I told her it cost me."

Bought my wife a Lady Gillette about 3 years ago. She loves it, now has her own badger brush and I have saved a fortune on carts. Great way to get them on board. Another bonus, what woman can resist a clean and close shaved man?

Meh...As long as I pay the bills, she does not care. Got her and 3 daughters a LG and some Personnas. Brushes and mugs.
They all use the throwaways still.
Can't live with em....Nor without them, I suppose.
