I think it original and very nice. Since it is art, perhaps a display in a safe spot would be nice.

Very nice razor and stand. Do the engravings on the stand have meaning or mostly decorative?

The engravings are mostly decorative patterns
Except for the Japanese engraving which according to what I was able to find means kamisori, but for all I know this could mean sushi roll as my Japanese is non existentdinnermint likes this.
