my new kamisori and the DIY stand built for it
so last week i received a new kamisori from tony at japanese-razor.com not affiliated just a very happy costumer , tony is very nice and quick to respound to questions.
anyway after getting the razor and having a nice shave with(very nice edge btw) decided to make a stand for it.
i found a piece of driftwood and a wooden plate for it to sit on.
my awesome wife made the engravings using a soldering iron

Thanked: 18It's very nice. But I can't help but notice that you have it edge down.

the edge is completely protected , it is floating in the hole in the wood supported by the spine much like the scales of a western razor, hope that made sense but anyway the edge is not touching anything
