Thread: My new big duck

I just sent this off to get restored by one of the best in the business mycarver. This was too special for me to risk messing it up. Can't wait to see what it looks like all cleaned up. The etching will have to go but it's a small price to pay. The gold is being redone as well as the paintfill I believe. Im going to give it the first shave and then decide if it stays or I put it up in an attempt to find some of my dream razors. TBD.


In any case this is a full 8/8" Dubl Duck goldedge. They are rare to say the least. They have different scales obviously than their smaller sisters. I've only seen very few and most in much worse condition. The small fee for restoring it is definitely worth it.
