    Default My new big duck

I just sent this off to get restored by one of the best in the business mycarver. This was too special for me to risk messing it up. Can't wait to see what it looks like all cleaned up. The etching will have to go but it's a small price to pay. The gold is being redone as well as the paintfill I believe. Im going to give it the first shave and then decide if it stays or I put it up in an attempt to find some of my dream razors. TBD.

In any case this is a full 8/8" Dubl Duck goldedge. They are rare to say the least. They have different scales obviously than their smaller sisters. I've only seen very few and most in much worse condition. The small fee for restoring it is definitely worth it.

    WOW!! Very nice [emoji41]
I believe the etch can be saved, if done carefully.
I've been able to salvage a few.

Unfortunately Mark already evaluated it and there was no way he could save it without it looking rather odd. I told him to just do what he does and make it look awesome. I was more concerned with the overall look than saving a meh etch to begin with.

Mark does some of the best work i've ever seen so I trust his judgement. He wouldn't steer me wrong.

That's incredible where did you find that Sasquatch sized duck in near perfect condition.

I won it in a raffle actually. It was much lucky day to say the least.

Yes I would say that it was a very lucky day indeed. I wish I had some luck like that.
