Thanked: 101It is weird to me that a railroad would use a fly ball governor as they weren't used on steam locomotives.Governor's like this were used on stationary & traction steam engines. Sorry, I have worked around steam most all of my working life.
Don't mean to confuse the issue.
I have a J.R.& Sons 5/8 "For Heavy Beards" that has turned into a great razor. Very hard steel!

I've never seen a train with a flyball on it either, that's what the engineer is for.
However, most people seem to equate flyball govenors with steam locomotives.
