Thanked: 0Thanks for the welcome, I also sent the same pictures to the vendor and they reponded so quick it was frightening. They confirmed the razor is defective and ask I return it. Thanks again and definitely keen to keep going. Will also check out the classifieds for honing. 👍

Thanked: 433Something must be up with TI, I honed a TI in the last year even worse than that. Luckily it honed fine and should stay fine. Returning it to the vendor is definitely the right thing to do

In my experience TI razors do have bevel issues here and there that are usually just cosmetic. Those pics look to be pretty bad though.

Thanked: 15I guess I must have been fortunate. While I may like some of the TIs I own more than others, I cannot say that there were problems when I received any of them. Actually I just shaved this morning with a new one I bought weekend before last. Rams horn scales and a 7/8 Dominator Full Hollow french point. Awesome shave and all I did was my usual routine on the strop.

Yes that toe end looks a bit pronounced for sure! I am surprised that made it through QC personally. As far as the consistency of the edge being uniform I have not seen too many blades that are exactly uniform. Close but not exact. That does not worry me as much as the toe of your blade looks like it is off quite a bit. Now what caused this I do not know.
I tell you, I would love to try a TI but I keep seeing a lot of post here and there on various issues with them so I am holding off until they get sorted.
I think if you send this back to the retailer they would swap out with you and send another. I would request they visually inspect it too prior to sending back. Good luck.German blade snob!
