Perhaps someone wore the wrong attire whilst shaving?
For the record, I ALWAYS neuter a spike..... not much, just enough to prevent that spike from biting. Is it the right thing to do? Perhaps not if you are a purist. For me, life is too short to put up with a razor that bites. I *need* a square point blade, but NOT a spike...
