Thanked: 4206Nice find.
Like my flic quite a bit. Although also not as ornate as yours.

Thanked: 0Thanks guys, I'm pretty pleased with it so far. I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but I'll give the hone a go and see how bad I can mess it up! The "green polish" I was referring to is a leather strop loaded with green jeweler's rouge. But I think you are right about the hone.

Thanked: 101I like to use Smiths honing solution with a little Ballistol on my Barber hones. Remember, barber hones can be very aggressive so I would start out with 6 rounds on the hone with light pressure if that feels good go a couple more rounds with no pressure then strop it If that does not work it need more than you can do with just a Barber hone I think.

Thanked: 0I think it should be useable soon, I tried it out the other day and it shaved. Very roughly, but it shaved... I'll work on it a bit more and see what I can get to happen!
