Default And then there is this...

...razor with a baffling maker's mark. It looks like three 'swirly' capital letters C, or perhaps three stylized representations of a right ear. The back side of the tang is marked with a single number 6. The four marks are engraved, not acid-etched. Both the razor and the scales are in good shape.

If you have a clue as to who made this one, I think you are owed some proper respect. I have a PDF of Trademarks on Base-Metal Tableware, but it will take me some time to wade through its 347 pages, and the content is valid for products made through ~1900. So if this razor was made later, it won't likely be in the PDF.

The company is Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. They were based in Little valley, New york.

Here's some pics of the razor. It also has a 2 on the back side of the tang. very curious about this and im wondering if anyone can shed some light on it.
feel free to add or correct me on any of this info.

It seems every time I google anything shave related, it sends me right back to the Straight Razor Place, lol.

Well, your google-fu is working just fine. My internet search attempts showed some generic content and a couple of links for C-Mon items.
