Thanked: 2284"CCC" or Cattaraugus Cutlery co.
So my mother calls me on the phone and says shes antique shopping, and found a razor in decent shape that says CCC on it. The price was $20 for it, so I figured what the heck. I knew nothing about this razor until I searched it on here. Seems like a decent razor and might turn out to be a beauty. This is my first American razor and cant wait to bring it back to life.
The company is Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. They were based in Little valley, New york.
Here's some pics of the razor. It also has a 2 on the back side of the tang. very curious about this and im wondering if anyone can shed some light on it.
feel free to add or correct me on any of this info.

Hey that's awesome! It'll clean-up nicely I think! Given it's heritage, it should be a shaver too!

Thanked: 65GOINS' Says Cattaraugus used a CCC mark but with " Little Valley N. Y." so IMO, without the Little Valley it is a Curtin & Clark Cutlery as GOINS" says CCC was used, usually stamped on the blade.

Curtin & Clark Cutlery Co. has four "C" in their mark.

After one more researching, I came to a conclusion, that this stamp could be used by Cleveland Cutlery Company.
Why? I found a bayonet with very similar mark on one side and "Solingen" on another side.
Cleveland Cutlery Company is an import company. It was founded in 1945 by Kurt Bildstein in Cleveland, Ohio. The owner imported knives, other cutlery directly from Germany.
So. The question is opened.
P.S. But my opinion, the razor was made by Cattaraugus Cutlery Company.Alex Ts.

10-15-2012, 12:30 PM #8Cattaraugus used a CCC mark but with " Little Valley N. Y."
"Cattaraugus stampings were:
- Cattaraugus Cutlery Company, Little Valley, NY
- CCC on handle/bolster on barlow
- Whittle Craft
- 3Cs inside a circle."Alex Ts.

Thanked: 13245The Catty that I had with the CCC rather then the Cattaraugus Cuttlery Co. stamp was clearly a Catty it had the Little Valley Stamp and a common model number stamped in the tail same as many Catty's do...
The CCC did not looking anything like your razor, they were more block stamped.. Not saying it isn't here, just giving you more info to work with.. I will look for pics...
