Thanked: 0Solingen with an Arab? sword on it, any good?
Hi,
I'm planning on buying this razor, does anyone know this type? I can see it's from Solingen, the brand itself I don't know.
I like the shape and simplistic drawing of it so I was wondering if it would be a nice shaver once honed..

It's more than likely a ERN.

Thanked: 3226Yup, looks most closely like their "Persian" model/trademark. I wonder if the Arabic on the blade translates to Persian in English.

If it is marked Solingen it is usually good no matter who made it. At least the vintage razors are. Not so sure about current stuff, but generally I think they are also good if really from Solingen. I like the design on that one, almost looks like a Sheffield with the notch point and seems more 1/2 than full hollow.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
