Thanks for all the info and adverts, Martin!
These things tell the story, it would seem.
    A long-lived establishment, for certain!

My razor is from the 50's I think

My strops would seem lots older. With the 606 address, they may be pre-war.

Denatured?? The good stuff was not denatured.

Just reporting as I see it Richard, but I do know that prohibition killed thousands of people drinking weird concoction of booze.

Yes, you are very correct in that statement. A Gov't social program that did not work as planned so they added even more poison to the mix and killed more persons. I am not pro booze or against it. But usually a Gov't "helping" program is not the answer to a problem.

That for sure Richard, I'm not against booze at all, but unfortunately seen the devastation it can do to someone and their families. Tom I can see the resemblance from that razor, all from the same place no doubt! And that's a sweet one!

I think that mine is a dyed shell. Though someone thought it was bison. It is thin as any strop I've had and so flexible it is a joy to use. It is strong and does not stretch.

Richard, I noticed the stamp on the Tripoli strop looks very much like the stamp on the Melchior strop I got from you. Both were out of Philadelphia, also.
