Default A very large blade from France

I have a thing for French razors. Any country that can make TI, Le Grelot and Le Jaguar razors had to be doing something right. Anyway I've always kept my eye out for other interesting looking razors from France. Yesterday I was lucky enough to be the purchaser of an A Aubry, Paris straight. It is listed as having a blade that is 3cm wide. That puts it at 1" 2/8 - 1" 3/8.
Now that is a serious size blade. Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to getting it in a week or so and seeing what it looks like in person. Here's a couple of pictures of it.

That is a nice razor. I would rate it at 12/10 for looks and how wide it is. Almost like finding a great white whale out in the wild

Nice razor...is it just me or the distance between the heel and scales is kind of cramped?

I think that you're spot on. It may have been made as an exhibition piece and never intended to be used. Time will tell.

Looks like a custom razor made for someone with a big head and tiny fingers. Maybe a dwarf.

    Just kidding.

I truly think it is something one-off. Made by a worker on lunch or a display piece.
Sortof like that big old Genco I have.
