I store mine in Walnut racks I made. The two on the side are my 'Old West Style' razor racks that I designed and have sold several to members here on SRP. The combo rack in the middle I originally made for a fellow member who decided he wanted one with an extra shelf. So, I made him what he wanted and decided I would use the combo for myself. I also keep a few razors in a roll that I put up for my grandson when he gets old enough to shave.

I actually store mine in a cigar box as well, I also put them in their original cases.

Reason why? when I obtained my great grandfather's razors, they were stored in a cigar box, so that's how he did as well, ergo I copied the idea.
My cigar boxes are put in a big open wooden crate, where I threw in some silica gel packs.

I also oil all my razors, except for my daily shaver

Well, here's my modest rack. I just received it in a trade on another forum. He had never made one before. We exchanged ideas and before I knew it he made this. I thought it was too short. I wanted taller with slots on the top support so the razors could lean against it. I am glad he made it this way as I really like this better. There is a dimple on the bottom rest where the end of the razor rests, to keep it from moving around.

This is how I display a few razors. Made of mahogny. But i wanna make something that can store more straight razors, and also dont take up to much space. Have a very limited apartment atm. Soo the once I wanna try to restore and hone is in a drawer. But these are honed and shave well.

I found a nice cigar box with wood cigar trays that hold the razors.

Now THAT is a REALLY nice and creative display!!

How have you got the straights hung in the built in??
A little hard to tell from the pic.
Looks like could either be a hole drilled into the face of the shelves with a slot underneath to allow passage of the tangs or rare earth magnets set into the faces of the shelves.

Were you able to fit that in between the existing studs?
Or did you box it in between three?
