Default On The Hunt For U.S. Made Western Kamisori Razors

I'm a Western Kami guy and picked up my first two razors through Classic Shaving. They were both Hart Steel made by Bruce Gregory. Bruce seems to have fallen off the map and they haven't sold a Kami in maybe a couple of years.

So, my only other option for a new razor now (and granted, it's a great one) is Portland Razor Company. They seem to keep their Chimera Western Kami in production. (See below)

My question is, is PRC my ONLY current option in the United States for a Kamisori blade? If anyone knows of a company manufacturing Western Kami's, I'd be super appreciative of a link.

    Thanks!!

You are correct! Thank you! Brian wasn't on my radar at all and this is exactly why I started this thread.

I don't know about manufacture, but you could probably talk to the guys who do customs about having one made.

Yes, showing off a little. Robert Williams makes a Western Kami in 01 tool steel. 1/4 hollow. Great razors!

Joe Edson (Edson Razors) and Chris (ShaveSmith) both make custom kamisori razors. I have a few custom (Western) razors made by Joe and while I haven't gotten a custom razor from Chris he has done some restoration work for me in the past, can recommend both.
