My Three Musketeers
Gentlemen,
I have loved the Three Musteteers by Alexandre Dumas since childhood. Athos, Portos and Aramis are my heroes. Of course, we cannot forget the Fourth Musketeer D'Artagnan.
A parallel affection covers four of my straight razors: Le Grelot, Gotta 120, Louper and Carl Schlieper, all 6/8 round points. Yes, I consider these my Three Musteteers, and the Fourth, D'Artagnan. These are superb shavers, and in near mint condition since I've owned them.
There are other prominent names in my modest straight razor collection — Puma, Globusmen, Wade & Butcher, etc. — all great shavers, but none grabs my heart as much as The Musketeers:
Le Grelot — Athos
Gotta 120 — Porthos
Louper — Aramis
and . . .
Carl Schlieper — D'Artagnan
Gentlemen, do you have The Three Musteteers, and the Fourth, in your straight razor lineup?Last edited by Obie; 10-22-2017 at 11:22 AM.

Great bunch, Obie! I seem to enjoy that sort of razor more and more.
Mine would be a Carl Schlieper, Lauterjung Tiger, Ern Bar Science, and a Radium Fontenelle.

Thanked: 250Sorry Obie but I much prefer the swashbuckling revenge of Dumas' "The Count of Monte Cristo" to "The Three Musketeers". My Wosty 7/8 swashbuckles revenge on my heavy beard with grace and style.

I like this idea, I'm currently in a daily rotation of three razors, all Henckels though, a full hollow, and 2 1/4 hollows; I like both grinds, would love to collect more
I'd like to add onto this collection for more "diversity", I'm eyeing some vintage Bokers, but for some reason, they seem sparse to come by around here these days sadly enough
Any vintage Solingen will do if I like it's style
I would like to made a wooden box set to hold a 7-day set of various razors, that'll be the ultimate goal, I collected more than 7 razors over the years, but I've found certain grinds and styles to be among my preferences and it's probably gonna take some time to collect 4 more to make a 7 day set complete
