Thanked: 7What do you guys think of this Dovo?
She's a bit pricey but she's gorgeous!
Is the stainless steel harder to strop?

Thanked: 3226But but but the scales aren't ivory. All kidding aside, my stainless steel razors strop just like my other non stainless steel razors. As a bonus it should have a good edge coming from SRD.

Thanked: 7I know, I know, but my plan to skydive a team down and "rescue" an ivory pile before it was burned fell through last week when the aircraft rental company got a bit suspicious. All that planning for nothing!
So your stainless steel razors strop just fine? That's good news.Last edited by AnglesMatter; 04-25-2018 at 09:04 PM.

I bought those scales to replace some celluloids that started going. They are very pretty.
Dovo makes a nice razor. It should shave very well as long as it's honed before delivery. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I had one of those a long time ago, and I remember it feeling scale-heavy. Or maybe the scales were thick... Something about too much scale.
Some stainless can be different that carbon when honing, but for stropping and shaving, I have never felt much of a difference.
