Thread: update.. please read

Hello gentlemen.. Hope all is well with everybody.. So this is an update on the post i sent out about Looking for a member.. The original post was about one of our members who advertises his honing service in member services here and how i sent in 2 razors and the $$ that was required for the return of said razors.. That was in June and i have not recieved those back nor has this member returned ANY of my emails asking about them.. 2 members who must have contact relayed my concerns to him and they said my razors will be sent out on monday.. That was 2 effing weeks ago!!.. Needless to say im beyond upset.. Ive emailed him saying all im asking is just to make contact with me and if something personal is going on, if they were accidently lost, broken, stolen, anything.. Just let me know and we can work it out no problem but zero response.. At my wits end and figure these razors are gone for good.. So this is a warning to any member or visitor that if you see this member in member services advertising honing (he's the only one in services) DO NOT send your razors out!!.. Im going to email mods to see if this is reason enough to ban him from advertising honing service and to take his mentor label away.. Sorry about this long post but i sent out 2 straight razors and $$$ for a honing service... I surely did not expect to never see my razors again... Scott W

Wow, I would never have expected to have heard this...

This is a shame. There is a lot of trust putting something of value in the mail to someone you trust will do right by you. I really hope this gets resolved the right way.

Too bad you lost the razors. It's hard to believe that Ron would do you wrong without a reason. I've been watching for him to poke his nose in here but haven't seen a thing. Even in special places. I'm really hoping something good come out of this. It's just hard to believe.

A good reputation is hard won. Unfortunately it is more easily damaged through just one incident no matter the reason. I really hope the situation gets resolved to your satisfaction.

It happened to me when I first started. Sent a razor out and didn't hear anything about it. Took me about 2 months and had to travel to pick it up. I don't think it was intentional but it happens. Some times things happen for whatever reason and take on a life of it's own. I would not write them off just yet. What razors were they? They will find there way home. Keep the faith.

Hello fella's.. Believe me when i say that it is strange situation.. By all accounts Ron is a stand up, well respected mentor on this sight... Ive never met Ron nor had any contact before this and would not know him if he was standing right beside me.. The thing is that i have given him every opportunity to let me know of there is something in his life going on that is preventing him from getting in touch with me.. He has my email, PM, and phone #.. Like i said another member who knows him was kind enough to get ahold of Ron a few weeks ago and Ron told the member he would send them out 2 mondays ago.. So no miscommunication there .. The razors really mean little to me.. Ive given away at least a half dozen razors to members in the last year be it adding a razor that i dont use to another razor or shaving item that was bought from me, to giving away at least 3 to new members who didnt have a real straight yet.. Ive let members borrow my razors so they can see other grinds before them making a purchase.. Given items for auctions,etc.. I have plenty of razors and im lucky enough that losing 2 razors is not going to set my wet shaving back.. But there are a LOT of members who if they did lose 2 razors like this would not be able to continue SR shaving because of it... Im not going to hold any grudge or bad mouth Ron.. Not my style and as far as im concerned im done with the matter.. I just wanted to put this out there for a warning that this did happen and to keep that in mind if someone was thinking of sending razors out to be honed by him...
