Thanked: 634Jaques LeCoultre question
Just picked this 2 blade LeCoultre up on the bay. Cleaned and honed. I know what the screwdriver is for but can't figure what the small tapered steel pin is for. Don't think it belongs to the razor.
Any thoughts?

I think it is to run up in the screw-hole and wedge the blade out?

Thanked: 634Thought about that. When I removed the screw and blade to clean up the frame tried that. Screw is smaller diameter than tool. It looks like some sort of punch.
Thanks anyway

So is that 'punch' hollow on the big end?

Most of those framebacks had the bladed wedged in really good and you needed something to get it out. That's my guess and that and $2.50 will get you on the NYC Subway.

Thanked: 634Is that what the NYC Subway is up to now? Haven't been on it for over 40 years. Still have a few small tokens and a couple large ones.

Am thinking that is the remnants of the original screwdriver sans the wooden handle and with the blade broken-off?

Thanked: 634No. It's flat. Almost looks like it was a handle that inserted into the a shaft.
