Thanked: 3Joe Chandler Straight razor Pics
Hey Everyone! Just thought i would post some pics of my new razor(Joe Chandler 9/8) I love choppers! What do you guys think? Half Hollow or Full? I have looked at a straight razor chart and it looks half to me but just wanted some professionals input!

Definitely half bordering on a quarter hollow.

Quarter hollow in my opinion. Buy its a fine line and some folks feel different about how its figured.
It's just Sharpening, right?

A "heavy" half hollow or a "light" quarter as I have come to term them. YMMV of course.

Thanked: 23Some serious chopper, that one. Beautiful work. I have no capacity to eyeball the grind, but if it shaves well...

Joe Chandler's razors kick ass, I am envious of that blade.

The grind has no shoulder, typical of wedge or 1/4 hollows but it's very thin at the belly, not typical of that grind.
I've no doubt it's a ripsnorter of a shave. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
