Yes a bit of an oddity, a later production of the 1st generation model perhaps?
The show face tang stamps and lack of country of origin on reverse indicates 1st gen but the gold wash lyra is usually on 2nd gen.
So I'd go with what Jamie said 1st gen with incorrect scales.

There is likely never a clean break in production when changes are made to products. Could easily be a factory made newer model using up the remainder of old stock parts.

Unless there are visible signs of repinning, I’m with Bob on this one. I suspect it was made during the second generation using old stock blade and box. I have seen a few anachronistic mixes like this with Filarmonica.

With all this information coming in, would this razor be more or less valuable...perhaps similar to a mis-stamped coin from the Mint?

I think Bob has nailed it. A first gen left over blade put inside of a pair of 2nd gen scales. Just using up the left over parts. I cant imagine that this would increase the value or hurt the value. You have to figure that a good number were probably made like this just to use up all of the blades that were on hand.

No, your razor wouldn't be worth anymore, all 14s and that includes almost every other desirable collectable razor will all come down to one thing, condition.

Yes quite possible, however those type of scales were never on the Doble Temple model but the Novodur and Sub Cero models and the pivot on the show face side looks like it's caved in on the photo.
    Who knows!
