Thanked: 1081Yes a bit of an oddity, a later production of the 1st generation model perhaps?
The show face tang stamps and lack of country of origin on reverse indicates 1st gen but the gold wash lyra is usually on 2nd gen.
So I'd go with what Jamie said 1st gen with incorrect scales.

Thanked: 3227There is likely never a clean break in production when changes are made to products. Could easily be a factory made newer model using up the remainder of old stock parts.

Unless there are visible signs of repinning, I’m with Bob on this one. I suspect it was made during the second generation using old stock blade and box. I have seen a few anachronistic mixes like this with Filarmonica.

Thanked: 4With all this information coming in, would this razor be more or less valuable...perhaps similar to a mis-stamped coin from the Mint?

Thanked: 104I think Bob has nailed it. A first gen left over blade put inside of a pair of 2nd gen scales. Just using up the left over parts. I cant imagine that this would increase the value or hurt the value. You have to figure that a good number were probably made like this just to use up all of the blades that were on hand.
