Thanked: 4What generation is this Filarmonica?
I've had it several years, but don't know anything about dating it.
I don't think the box is original, but it does have two "40 Centimos" stamps on it.
The etching on the blade is faint, but as best as I can tell is "Doble Temple" with a lyre in the middle.
Is there any value or collectibility to this razor?

Thanked: 4I read the thread you posted to. This caught my attention that makes me wonder if it's a generation on (perhaps a latter model?)
"The original "Doble Temple"
Tang similar to Especial with curved Jose Monserrat Pou, tall & vertical "14", and "FILARMONICA"
A different gold seal on the face, most notable attribute being the "JMP" initials in the center
Collectors will refer to this as a "JMP signature blade", the initials were later replaced by the lyre
I could be (most likely) wrong as I am not an expert on any razor & I don't mean disrespect to markbignosekelly as I do appreciate his link.

I think your razor is a first-generation fitted with the incorrect scales, the box is correct for a first-generation Doble Temple, take a look at a NOS first-generation, Doble Temple, I sold a few years back.

Here's another first-generation Especial I also sold on a few years back.

Mark, you are right the scales are definitely from a second-generation model, another give away they don't have any country of origin stamped on the opposite side of the tang they left it blank, it could be just in between model when they were switching over to the second generation model, the blank including the tang stamp with the upright 14 looks like the first generation the gold wash with the Lyra is the second generation, as you rightly say Mark, first-generation models had a gold JMP stamp on the face of the blade, the tang with no country of origin may be the giveaway, first or second? no stamp first-generation, country of origin stamp the second generation.

Thanked: 4So I have a red-headed stepchild?
Does all this "mystery" make it more or less valuable?
Here's a pic of the back of the razor case showing a pair of stamps.

Thanked: 1082Can you take a picture of the other side of the tang? As Jamie points out if it says Made in Spain on the reverse tang it would be 2nd gen or without country of origin it would be 1st gen.
