I ordered a nice enough looking cheapie so i made sure not to throw too much money at it until i'm sure I like them. If do like it I can get another one or two for the price of them. They are also cheap and nice looking enough to use for paying it forward at some point, I made some promises when I first started shaving and won't forget how I was helped.

What I really like about your choice is the all wood (Mahogany?) Scales. And for 20 bucks? How can you go wrong? Even if were horrible, I'd use it as a box cutter! I may order one today. I really like the old-school look. I chose the one I did because it was sort of a middle of the road model between $20 and $50. Yes, it looks like a large pocket knife, but the copper is actually done very well and I like the look for what it is. Curiosity may get me and I may want to try the $20 model and the $50 presentation model just to see if there is ANY difference in quality between them. For curiosity sake.
Keep us posted please. Mahalo!

I'm ordering the one you just orderd, AND, I'm ordering this presentation model;
This comes with a presentation wooden box for display. Around $50 USD.
It does not surprise me that your order already shipped. This is a company that is serious about customer service. I got mine in 10 days from date of order. That's the fastest I got anything from China. Hopefully you will be as lucky with this as I was."I get some lather and lather-up, then I get my razor and shave! Zip Zop, see that? Ooh, let me know how you find it, is there any other difference except the display box? I might not need the box if it were in my rotation. I would keep it safe though in case I ever passed it on or sold it.
You said you touched yours up on 12k, how was the steel? How does the blade compare to other razors on the hone?- - Steve

It seems like a harder blade than the cheap GD razors, Steve. Hones like my Wade and Butcher FBU. It certainly took well to a 12k finish.
I personally think it needed a 12k Finish. My guess is that the factory is honing thise with a 4k/8k. You can of course shave with an 8k and they will pop hair, but the 12k really gave it the finishing touch, IMO. But this 4k/8k factory hone is a guess. They may be finishing these with a 10k.
The presentation model is made with finshed Mahogony scales and a copper inlay with a gold embossing of TITAN on the blade. And it comes with a presentation wooden box. What I suspect I will find is that the blades are the same from the $20 models through the $50 models. The difference will probably be the scales and the trim, like the gold embossing on the blade. The blade hardness and manufacture will most likely be the same, but there are no guarantees. So I want to experiment and see."I get some lather and lather-up, then I get my razor and shave! Thanked: 3215Zip, post some pics of the razor honed on the 12k. The grind looked problematic and would like to see how it honed up with that funky heel.
Also, curious if the razor was honed on a stone from the factory. I doubt they taped them prior to honing.

I've been around this place a long time and I've seen untold numbers of razors that were supposed to be cheap and super great and they didn't turn out that way. Maybe this one is the real deal but it's a matter of ease of honing and how long it keeps it's edge and blade quality etc. It's all about the blade.
I'm not trying to be a wet blanket however I would say let a few guys be the Guinea Pig and just wait and see how it goes before you all go crazy.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
