Yup! It has a couple of look's but that is definately one of them. Try a polish first and if it takes long I would start at 4000 or higher if you can get some. Looks like a high polish on it that is why I recomment you start higher. I had domething similar on a FR and started with 4000 and instantly could see the finish it had was mush higher. Just made more work for myself! Lol!

When it's in a fairly dry environment, rust seems to have a tendency to 'wander' in lines like that. I've seen it on a lot of my blades.
