Thanked: 0My Great, great, great grandfathers razor
Can someone help me find the origin of this strait razor.
Case is barely legible but we can just make out
Wade & Butcher.
The room handle was engraved presumably by my ggg grandfather "J. F. O. 1852.
On the hilt of the blade is stamped or engraved
"Manufactured
Wade & Butcher
Sheffield.
Blade is 3", lenth of blue and hilt to the handle is 4.5".
Don't know how to add a picture. Just inherited this.

Wade Butcher’s were good daily driver razors that were and still are very popular. With all razors as with most antiques, it is all about condition.
If the razor is in good condition, it can be brought back into serviceable condition. Photos will help advise you.
