Hey yall,

So, as the title says I'm trying to figure out what yall don't like about singing razors. Best I can find is that they "are not good for heavy beards". But, since I'm trying to learn everything about razors at one time, I'm trying to gage whether I'm not honing well or if I have a heavy beard. Not like I feel a bunch of faces and ask "would you say you have a heavy beard? ".

Doing the same prep and shave style, what I'm noticing is that a singing razor is uncomfortable to painful when it gets to my neck. This was always a problem area for me and having a comfortable shave there is what sold me on straights in the first place.

Most do fine on my cheeks, but I do have one particularly high pitched one that seems unstable like the blade doesn't even stay on my face. In the three times I used it, it cut me in the middle of the cheek (different spots, not cutting off the scab). Without some obvious error which is the only time I cut the middle of my cheek.

So, looking for yall's experience in case I'm doing something wrong.

I should also point out that I don't see any indication that I'm honing badly (or worse then normal). They pass all the HHT type markers. The sharpie is removed all the way to the edge, so I don't think I'm honing with too much pressure and missing the apex. Also, one I won in the giveaway and did not hone myself. Not sure who honed it, but it seemed "shave ready".

Thanks.
