@trondsi that's very nice looks smart! I like the fact that the TI's round point aren't that rounded compared to other makers.
I'm pretty sure that fine TI Razor of yours qualifies you to be in the "GANG"!!!What we have here is a Failure to Communicate!

Thanked: 31Both of ours have two mysterious lines stamped on the tang. I think we're both in an even more fancy club here.

@trondsi Home now, so had a look a found the x2 lines/marks on the tang that you mentioned. It would appear that sadly these are nothing more than Decoration and are used on a quite a few of the modern Thiers Issard range of razors..... So we are NOT that exclusive apart from possessing TI Straight Razor!?!
With regards to what @outback said to TI Razors I have to agree somewhat!?! Don't get me wrong I love the one I have, if only because it's my 1st SR and also because it's one of the few that gives you the option to customise! But having gotten into SR's I am fully aware of the vast array of vintage quality SR's out there that will put a modern TI's to shame!?! And I think we have to be honest with ourselves and admit, as nice as these razors are they are not the ultimate standard. At the same time they are no slouches either.
At the end of the day finding a razor that you can wield and shaves to your satisfaction is likened to finding the perfect pair of shoes!?! There's the grind anything from Full Hollow through to Wedge then the choice of point then the steel used. The beauty of this being that an unknown razor that costs pennies maybe perfect against a well known named razor costing stupid $$ that for you shaves like a builder trowel!?!
But one thing is for sure, I will NEVER give up or sell my Thiers Issard!!!What we have here is a Failure to Communicate!
