We've been arguing this for many years. In the end they both shave equally good in the hands of a competent shaver.
Keep in mind the Wedge was developed first many moons ago before they knew how to make a hollow grind. Once they perfected the hollow grind wedges became an endangered species. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 4Why do you think hollow grinds seem to have won out ? When we get this one sorted out , what do you think badger or synthetic . I like both . They function well but badger seems more luxurious. Not trying to change the thread but I don’t know where to put it.

A properly honed wedge shaves as good, sometimes better, than a hollowground. Depends a lot on your beard and your shave technique. Wedge blades are also more traditional, FWIW. A hollowground is generally easier to hone, particularly for the beginner. Me, I like hollowground razors from quarter to extra full hollow with half to full hollow probably my general sweet spot. YMMV. I usually don't keep wedges long if they fall into my hands as I really just don't like them all that much.

Amen to that. Perception is not 90% of reality. Perception IS reality.
