I'm gonna be moving up from a 4/8-13/16 rotation to a 9/8 blade.. Now THAT's gonna be a jump lol. There shouldn't be any difficulties, just remember to adjust the spine lift for a proper angle.

I really dont get the /16 measurements.....yeah....my math stinks...but i cant imagine what a 11/16 looks like

10/16= 5/8
12/16= 6/8
Some razors in the old days were not really made to a particular standard, so might fall in between. Also, after a nick or two, or some really aggressive honing, a 6/8 can turn into an 11/16.

Seriously, though, the handmade ones like Joe C. turns out are gonna be different from the mass produced ones that Dubl Duck or Wade & Butcher put out.

sometimes I scrape w/ the 8/8, sometimes w/ the 5/8 shortfella. It's really just a matter of mood for me. Nice to have both in the rotation though.
I jumped from 5/8 exclusively to an 8/8 and had no trouble really.
