More time between cleaning the soap off the blade. I like the bigger blades myself.

In my experience there really is no advantage that a bigger razor has over a smaller one in terms of cutting ability or shave quality. A bigger razor might be a little easier to keep flat on the strop or hone, and it will hold a little more lather than a smaller one. It will be heavier and may be a little harder to shave certain areas like under the nose. I think that the real "advantage" of a big razor is the cool look, especially with a beautiful Livi blade. My favorite everyday shavers are usually about 6/8, but it is fun to break out the really big ones sometimes.

Actually some people are simply more confortable using the larger blades. It is really a personal preference.

    Good Luck.

    I recently exchanged my Meastro ATS34 7/8.
I did find the weigth & feel of the larger blade gave me very good shaves with no irritation,it also helped me to refine my technique by helping me to get a lighter touch. All inall I found it to be a positive experience.Paul

I like the weight of a 7/8. I don't own one but have honed a few up. I should put one my Christmas list. I think they shave a little easier.

i love larger blade but i have a "very designed beard " (i don t know the english terms ) under nose and under mouth.....7/8 blade could be a problem for finishing and designing the beard?

    thanks

I find if i need to do some touchup work on the Goat Tee....i break out the 5/8. Other than that im using 7/8. I just purchased a 6/8 and am eager to try that out.
