    You can certainly try, why not. Consider the crack a place where the blade ends, like a modified end point... Shave and see what happens...

    im really new to this, but maybe you could shorten it down to the crack for detail work with a shorter razor. the big blade makes me nervous when shaving the 1/8 gap between my nose and mustache, and i havent yet figured a way to shave across the grain on my neck with the longer blade. my guess is that that crack is in the hardened heat treated edge and extends into softer metal, but ive never seen how a razor is heat treated.
