Sounds very nice :tu

Some points that I would like:
- Square-ended scales
- 6-7/8"
I'm fairly easy about the rest! (Oh yeah, and
the wife says that I can count myself in!)

Just curious, when you guys say Spanish Point are thinking a point like this? I have seen other so called Spanish Points that are much less pointy.....

Lynn,
This will likely bankrupt me, but I would like to get included conditionally and that is only based on the eventual choice of design details as I want to be able to use this razor with ease and elan rather than just look at it with wistful longing. My preferences are for a 6/8 razor, 1/2 hollow, round tip, thumb rest, jimps top and bottom, plain spine, normal tail, Takeda damascus, and rams horn scales.
Most things are within the sights of option, but I muchly prefer the 6/8 size (maybe a titch wider) and the 1/2 hollow blade stiffness. And a long and pointy tail leaves me as cold as a January's night on the frozen tundra.
:tu
Damascus would be nice... mayby with some sweet blond horn scales 7/8 french point....
but i'm open to other options
maybe and inscription "I survived the SRP crash of '08"
Lynn,
Please count me in. Thanks.
count me in
Lynn,
Thanks again for this great offer!! :tu Will this razor be an SRP labeled razor? Like the SRP TI?
Ooohh that sounds wonderful!Quote:

Man, this is difficult to resist... I'd also be interested in a 6/8 or 13/16 Spanish point, carbon blade. I'm partial to horn scales but a really nice wood wouldn't be too bad either. :tu
Im so giddy for this. I cant wait
I'm in for something in ATS34. Not too flashy, would really like stag scales, yeah....! In a 7/8
Sounds likea great idea. probably something conservative to keep it affordable for the most people. Standard steel, simple wood scales either 6/8s or 7/8s. Yea count me in.
...me too!
Hi-
I'm in if it's affordable. Seeing as it will be commemorating a big crash, how about a big razor? I'd love a 7/8 with a Spanish point and an extra long monkey tail (for 2 fingers), but that's just me.
--Dan
big razor?
If it's going to be a big razor, let's go 9/8ths
I have enough 7/8ths to be getting on with...
:D
I'm interested depending on the price.
Has SRP ever done a brush like B&B? I love that 2006 LE, it's a great looking brush.
I'm in, pending price.
Does the majority here really shave with 7/8 blades?
Lynn
Count me in and a 6/8 would be great, Spanish point would also be nice but whatever you choose I am in for it.
Ted
Yes please!
Count me in, also.
Thanks!
I'm interested depending on the price.
I'm in barring price! Large blade, Spanish point, worked back, no horn scales... Am I forgetting anything?
For me it's all dependend on price. I'd love one. I'm just pretty sure that no matter the price I won't be able to afford it. Maybe in 10 years or so....or if I get the time to save up for a year.
As for size....IF I'd want one I'd want an 8/8, simply because I already own : 5/8, 6/8 (twice) and 7/8. I'm not interested in 4/8 and I don't really need any duplicates.
Is this a new thread ? .. sorry I'm confused after the Db failure .. I'd be interested also ( price depending as well .. ) 8/8 sounds neat .. I don't have one of those yet
I'm also interested. I'm pretty open minded about spec:
Looking forward to seeing how this takes shape.
- 6/8 or 7/8
- ATS34, Silvano Damascus, or Pinin regrind (would also be interested in Silvano Damascus but am guessing there may not be enough for demand)
- don't mind the grind
- don't mind the shape
- scales in a patterned wood, e.g. burl.
Cheers
M.
It looks like everyone has their own idea of what razor they would like from the Maestro. However, it usually helps with offers at no profit at all if one or a few models can be "mass" produced to keep manufacturing costs low.
Just an observation. I think this is a great offer by the Maestro (and Lynn who does put an effort into it as well).
However,
Kees is right of course.
Though if one thing is obvious: most people seem to want spanish point.
Im in and hang the overdraft!
+1 on something simple.
I would prefer a 6/8 or 7/8 but no bigger....
I did like those Mammoth tusk/bone scales that I think ?Taz? was parading around making me feel jealous:D :D
They where simple, but darn good looking....
But what the hell.... its a Maestro.... its gonna be good.
You are correct... i mean a nice simple Maestro is a joy to behold and use and by keeping it simple more people would be able to enjoy the ownership...
i recant my previous choice... ats34, french point with either simple horn scales or a nice burl wood... but i still want an inscription commemorating the event!
I'm also in depending on the price.
I know I can not afford it, but I will play along.
7/8, ATS 34, Full Hollow with a smile, Spanish Point, Olive Wood Burl
+1 on the ATS 34.
6/8 or 8/8, French or Spanish really doesn't matter, as long as we don't break the bank. Wooden scales, but I also want something that will commemorate the event, and the maker. Lets face it. we all wan a Maestro Razor in our stable. The more simple we keep it, the more people can afford it.
My 1/2 cents worth.
