Oh nuts....
This is what you get when you dont pay attention.
If there is still a chance in hell of me getting in on the 30 that would be grand.
If not I will just crawl into a corner...
Ps .... cold hard cash ready to go.....

Thanked: 0The way I read the first post.....
The first post only asked for input on what people would like, for a tentative group buy. Many of us just enthusiastically posted that we "were in".
Considering this, a drawing seems very fair...... since this thread didn't start as a way to line up interested buyers.
A "Group buy, line forms here" thread doesn't exist.
I'm happy to have my name in the hat for a drawing. I'm sure that when the time comes, the herd will be thinned out based on who is actually ready to buy, right now.
If the names in the hat are only those that are prepared to buy now, then there probably won't be as many names. And we'll all have better odds.
This could be one approach.
have everyone that wants to be included in the drawing, pay $10 or so to be included. This money could be used to support the site, it would also attract serious buyers.
Then the drawing for the 30 lucky ones could commence.
maybe allow 2 weeks for people that want to be included to pay up.
Then we would get a chance to be in the drawing, as well as supporting the site with our entry fee. As well as generate more excitement! Which is always cool.
As for this particular thread....it was never framed to be a "get in line to buy" type of thread.
All that being said, this makes for a pretty exciting prospect!
It's been fun following all of this.
Regards,
Mitch

Thanked: 0Hey Mike.
If I don't end up in "The Dirty 30"
I'll be looking to buy a razor from you, I think you mentioned in an earlier thread that you might be selling a high quality blade or two.
In addition to a razor from Traveler.
It's a win-win for me. There are many great razors available around these parts.
If I don't get in, I'll thumb wrestle for a spot.
Or rock-paper-scissors!!

That's not too bad an idea. I was thinking that after Lynn has the final details - particularly price, he start a thread for those that seriously want to be considered. That is, have the money and really want a chance. From this list draw the names of the first 30 and then perhaps keep the other names as standby for if someone had to drop out. If that happens, draw as many names as needed to get to 30.
For the first 30 - set a deadline for payment. Miss the deadline, someone else gets a shot.

Kenrup,
I wouldn't be immune to some form of bribery to alter that spreadsheet... What extremely nice razor would you like to send my way???
Just thinking ahead...

Thanked: 5I'd like to be in for the drawing, if one develops. However, my world won't end if this doesn't work out.
Anyway, thanks Lynn for taking the time to put this together.
