How are we gonna decide who gets one ? I say you can only be considered if you own a SRP LE razor :D
If I can make the cut, I would like to still be in.
Honestly, as someone who is ... hmmm 89th in line (according to the unique first posters in this thread), I'm hoping that Maestro has enough profit at this price point that he decides to open up the offer (after the first 30) to everyone else at say an additional $50 or so? Then maybe we all can be happy (and Maestro doesn't go broke on the deal!)
My $0.02....
Of course, those in the 30 lucky could always auction off their spot....
Thats excellent news. I was afraid it would be to deep for my pocket but that has to be a steal, now how do you get in the top thirty
Going alphabetically by user name sounds pretty good to me. ;)
Lynn meant to say there would be exactly 85 razors made... I'm sure of it. According to the spread sheet anyway, I'm sure thats what he meant to say... right Lynn... 85?
At that price point, I'm in. No preference on scale profile.
we could just do a pit fight and the last 30 in the pit get one! :roflmao My war face
War face is it???
For one of these I'll let my horns out...http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/e...nush/devil.gif
if its war you want I will see your devil and raise you two!!!!
You want a war face huh?
Ummmm.... Now, I'm not sure. For some reason I thought you were a moderator/administrator of the board - and I was just pointing out that it might be considered by some unfair if the mods/admins didn't get an automatic slot in the 30...
Sorry for the confusion.
I am interested if any are left.
Thank you, that is very fair to everyone.
This is what you get when you dont pay attention.
If there is still a chance in hell of me getting in on the 30 that would be grand.
:D :D
If not I will just crawl into a corner...

Ps .... cold hard cash ready to go.....
The first post only asked for input on what people would like, for a tentative group buy. Many of us just enthusiastically posted that we "were in".
Considering this, a drawing seems very fair...... since this thread didn't start as a way to line up interested buyers.
A "Group buy, line forms here" thread doesn't exist.
I'm happy to have my name in the hat for a drawing. I'm sure that when the time comes, the herd will be thinned out based on who is actually ready to buy, right now.
If the names in the hat are only those that are prepared to buy now, then there probably won't be as many names. And we'll all have better odds.
This could be one approach.
have everyone that wants to be included in the drawing, pay $10 or so to be included. This money could be used to support the site, it would also attract serious buyers.
Then the drawing for the 30 lucky ones could commence.
maybe allow 2 weeks for people that want to be included to pay up.
Then we would get a chance to be in the drawing, as well as supporting the site with our entry fee. As well as generate more excitement! Which is always cool.
As for this particular thread....it was never framed to be a "get in line to buy" type of thread.
All that being said, this makes for a pretty exciting prospect!:tu
It's been fun following all of this.:y
Regards,
Mitch
If I don't end up in "The Dirty 30"
I'll be looking to buy a razor from you, I think you mentioned in an earlier thread that you might be selling a high quality blade or two.
In addition to a razor from Traveler.
It's a win-win for me. There are many great razors available around these parts.
If I don't get in, I'll thumb wrestle for a spot.:)
Or rock-paper-scissors!!
That's not too bad an idea. I was thinking that after Lynn has the final details - particularly price, he start a thread for those that seriously want to be considered. That is, have the money and really want a chance. From this list draw the names of the first 30 and then perhaps keep the other names as standby for if someone had to drop out. If that happens, draw as many names as needed to get to 30.
For the first 30 - set a deadline for payment. Miss the deadline, someone else gets a shot.
Kenrup,
I wouldn't be immune to some form of bribery to alter that spreadsheet... What extremely nice razor would you like to send my way??? ;)
Just thinking ahead...
I'd like to be in for the drawing, if one develops. However, my world won't end if this doesn't work out.
Anyway, thanks Lynn for taking the time to put this together.

However you want to do it Lynn so it is fair is fine by me. I would say though that people with Maestros should gracefully bow out so that others can get them since that is the point of this at that price. I have no maestro's though so I am biased. Until I traded for a Chandler last weekend I had no customs at all and can't afford more so I will make deals with God or the devil till I get one.
I fully agree, I was joking about the top 30 on the list... the point being you can't please everybody all the time.
Lynn do what you have to, I think it's a nice idea that those who already have a Maestro should gracefully allow others to get one, but that isn't really fair if this becomes some sort of limited or sought after SRP special.
I would however ask that the time limit to pay be kept relatively short (72 hours?), don't put your name in if you don't have money in hand...
I would be very unhappy if I was told I couldn't get one, spent the money, and later got the word that I was "in' after my funds were spent.
OK I will admit I lost track of this thread.....
I was just kind of wondering what razor we are buying?????
Size ??? Point??? Scales??? I searched through here but this thread has grown...
If anyone actually knows the Specs please PM me
Oh great honemeister Lynn :bow ,
I would like my name to be put into the drawing for a spot in the 30 contenders for a Maestro Livi. Who shall I make the bank check out to ?
Richie
Maybe one day I will be able to purchase a razor that costs more than my monthly house mortgage, or car. I oogeled over them at the Ohio get together. Gorgeous razors.
Since Lynn has decided a draw is better than first come first serve I am contemplating sending him a Zeepk to hone.
:roflmao
