+1, but with my luck on such things, the odds would need to be WAY better than 1:3
By example, I was at a Boston Computer Society meeting in the 90's when Philip Kahn (then CEO of a large software company named Borland) spoke and gave away enough software that 80% of the people attending won something..... I was the only person within 40 feet who came away empty (interesting talk though).

I disagree with a drawing. Why not just select the first 30 people that showed interest when this thread was posted weeks ago? I have been dying to get my hands on a Maestro since I started straight shaving and it would be unfair for those that showed interest on this group buy since day one. Look what happens everytime there is a drawing for a giveaway. There is mysterioulsy an increase by dozens of new members that get their names in on the boards, wait to hear if they won, and never post again.

I agree with your sentiment, especially since I am in that top 30... But it's up to Lynn to figure out how to get these out...
He could just as easily limit entry into the buy by setting certain rules, like minimum post count, or the user must show that he's contributed to the community...
I'm glad I don't have to be the one who sets the rules.
Maybe Lynn should raffle off the razors... $300 per ticket, 2 ticket maximum per member... with the extra funds going to SRP... boy wouldn't that be fun???
There's no way to please everybody.

Thanked: 0Or just start the first who wants to BUY, thread.
Open a thread asking who wants one. Payment deadline within one week, or whatever you would figure it would take to mail in payment.
Form a list based on who post first.
That first thread was simply ask what features most would want in a group buy razor.
So start a new thread based on who actually wants one and who can pay within a set deadline. These razors are to be sold, not given away. So if someone has the cash now........money talks.
I agree with the previous observation about a new poster with their very first post being in a giveaway thread, and never posting again.......well said.
Regards,
Mitch

We can sit here and create senarios of how to distribute these razors from now to xmas but in the end Lynn will have to decide the aim in creating this sale and take the appropriate action to accomplish his aim. There will be upset people no matter what he does but hey, this isn't a democracy here. So just sit tight and await the verdict.

I fully agree anything Lynn choses to do is fine with me just so long as I'm on the list
