I somehow cannot help but think fuzzy10's razor was an exhibition piece, or a point-of-sale display.
Deeply-engraved, it is not as the average razor, I think?Last edited by sharptonn; 10-10-2015 at 01:31 AM.
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

You made a good point Tom. I just looked at it again & it looks like it may have been for display use or like you said, an exhibition piece. It almost looks as if it weren't meant to hone looking at the edge but I might be wrong. It definitely has a deep etch to it! I have one that has etching all across the blade but not as deep. I can't find it now but I will. His shows either a lot of hone hear at the heel or the etch wasn't perfectly straight but things weren't as precise back then but they were amazing pieces they made back then. I have a lot of respect for the older straights & makers & the quality they put into them way back whenever they were made. I find it very fascinating because they had to use their heads & didn't have any computers or such to figure out every aspect of this tool. As time went on several variations then started coming out like hollow grinds & such but the beauty of these old pieces are most astonishing to me.

Thanked: 5It would take a pretty good offer too good to refuse. It's a pretty special piece and I'll probably never see another like it.

Just to let you know, sales talk or even giving a value on a straight razor is prohibited in the forum. You might want to keep that in mind & pm an interested party & do your business that way. Just letting you know.
